International Day of the Girl Child

Since from the year 2012, the day October 11 is being observing as International Day of the Girl Child across the world. This day stands for Girl’s empowerment, ensure their basic human rights and also to assist them to overcome challenges faces in their life as female. The aims are to secure proper female education, stop child marriage, violence against women, reduce inequality between men & women etc. It has been selected “Girl Force: Unscripted and Unstoppable” as the theme for International Day Girl Child 2019. On this day, the Girl Summit held at United Nations Headquarter every year bringing together the organizations working for girl’s improvement worldwide. Marches, special events, discussion forum etc. held all over the world to promote girls’ awareness and increase participation in business, social, economic, political and daily life. Now-a-days the concern to end all kinds of discrimination against girls both in home & outside of home is growing rapidly. People of every classes are getting aware on it.
